TRAINING AT WIVES AND GIRLFRIENDS

Each of the courses listed below are short fast track courses for the enthusiastic learner.
Most of the courses are a one day a week attendance with added work experience hours
in the Wags training studio. All courses cover the relevant theory and practical experience.

Anatomy and Physiology (Home Study) - £99.00

This home study course is a basic introduction to Anatomy and Physiology and is aimed at the complete beginner.
Alternatively it will aid as a refresher course to those that want to refresh their memories. There are 12 modules to this course. Avaiable as hard copy or email.

Facial Skincare (3/4 Days) - £149.00

This 1 day a week course with added work experience.

Hours in the wags training studio will teach you how to carry out a consultation including
skin analysis, cleansing,steaming, exfoliating, facial massage and mask therapy.

You will learn about health and safety legislations, professioinal codes of ethics, the structure of the skin, bones and muscles of the face and more.

This course runs 1 day a week/1 eve a week 9:30am - 2:30pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm.

Eye Treatments  (2 Day) - £99.00

This short course is designed for the new therapist or as a refresher course for those that have forgotten. Eyelash and eyebrow tinting and the application of false lashes will be carried out using a variation of coloured tints. Anatomy and physiology (basic) included. 

Available as an evening course too please call!!  This course runs 1 day a week/ 1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm

Waxing (2 Days) - £125.00

This one day a week course with added work experience hours in the Wags training studio
will teach you to wax areas such as legs, underarms, bikini line, lip, brow and chin.

A very popular treatment. You will learn Anatomy and physiology of the skin and you will learn the hair growth cycle, health and safety legislations and will learn to devise treatment plans.

This course runs 1 a day a week/1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30pm or 5.30pm - 9:30pm. 

Advanced Waxing (4 Days) - £199.00 

For the experienced therapists confident with their waxing techniques. This course will
introduce you to the practical methods to waxing delicate areas providing the perfect
brazilian and hollywood wax using a mixture of warm and hot wax. 

This course is a 1 day a week/1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30 pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm

Make Up  (3 Days) - £125.00

This course will introduce you to the basics of day, evening and bridal make up. You will demonstrate by way of knowledge, how to match make up with skin tones, skin types and conditions. You will transform day to day make up into evening make up. Theory is covered before practical works.

This course runs 1 day a week for 3 weeks 10:00am - 2:30pm 

Spa Manicure (1 Day) - £125.00

A 1 day a week course, you will be taught how to carry out a successful manicure using
specific tools to complete cuticle tidies and filing etc. Includes anatomy and physiology
of the nail. This course will lead you onto Nail enhancements.

This course runs 1 day a week/1 eve a week  09:30am - 3:30pm or 5:30 - 9:30pm

Spa Pedicure (1 Day) - £125.00

A 1 day a week course, you will be taught how to produce beautiful looking feet using
specific tools, you will learn how to remove hard dead skin and provide a massage, you
will learn how to carry out consultations and specilaised treatments.

A very popular treatment in summer months.  Includes french polishing and the application
of diamonds.

This course runs 1 day a week/1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm

Spray Tanning (1 Day) - £95.00

Thinking of becoming a mobile tanning therapist, then look no further. Lisa has an outstanding reputation for her spray tanning techniques and is now in a position to pass this on to all trainees that cross her path. This course will cover the technique required to carry out a full body spray tan sucessfully with no streaking.

You will identify the contra indications and contra actions to treatment. You will learn how to prepare a client, and what after care advice to give.  Lisa will have tips of her own success to pass onto you. Please call for dates of training, course runs for half day.

Lash Fx Extensions (2 days) - £299.00 (inc kit)   £169.00 no kit

One of the newest treatments now carried out within the salon. This course is for the
experienced therpist, you will be shown how to apply the lashes and cover aftercare and patch testing. This treatment is very profitable.  Course runs on fridays

Swedish Body Massage (4 Day) - £299.00

A four day course,  covering anatomy and physiology on day one, along with a selection of practical works piecing together the routine for the perfect swedish body massage. Anatomy and physiology is a pre requisite for this course.

This course runs 1 day a week/1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30pm or 5:30pm - 9:30pm

Indian Head Massage  (3 Day) - £199.00 

A holistic treatment fast becoming as popular as the full body massage within the salon.
You will learn 36 sequenced moves to carry out a sucessful massage.

The course runs 1 day a week/1 eve a week 10:00am - 2:30pm or 5:30 - 9:30pm 

Deep Tissue Massage (2 Days) - £199.00

For the experienced therapist, you will be taught how to penetrate the muscles deeper;
you will also learn how to carry out deep tissue work. Swedish body massage a pre requisite for this course.  This course runs for 1 day 10:00am - 2:30pm.

Stone Therapy Massage  (2 Days) - £199.00

One of the most relaxing treatments you will carry out for a client. You will learn
how to massage with basalt stones.  Swedish body massage is a pre requisite for this course. If you enjoy massage you will enjoy this course.
This Course runs: 9:30am - 2:30pm

We also offer NVQ Nail Enhancement courses, please refer to the NVQ page of this site.    

You will learn how to apply acrylic nail extensions successfuly. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of the nail and skin, the preparation of the nail, the application
of tips and the application of acrylic.

You will also learn how to complete a refill and a soak off, you will learn how to mend a
broken nail. This course is intense but enjoyable for those that wish to become a good
nail technician.  We use creative acrylic whilst training.
